Job Description
PAGE Consulting, LLC is representing dynamic Architectural Woodworking companies - one of them is located in the Queens/Long Island City area, and the other is out on Long Island, and due to their continued increase in business, they are looking to hire a qualified and experienced Project Manager.
We are looking for a self-motivated, hard-working, responsible individual who is willing to learn and take the initiative in their job.
Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 7 years’ experience in all phases of Architectural Millwork Project Management.
Job requirements include:
They need someone who has 7+ years of project management experience with an architectural woodworking company, and the salary range is wide open, based on the individual’s experience.
The Job Details:
- Coordinate and manage projects from drafting and design to production and completion of installation, with company crew and sub-contractors.
- Provide complete quality control of jobs from start to finish
- Present shop foreman with production specs and various requirements
- Provide excellent customer rapport and service to clientele
- Review projects from architects’ drawings and obtain necessary project information from the architect, general contractor, and/or other trades.
- Have the Draftsman prepare shop drawings to be sent for approval
- Get approval for all materials and hardware.
- Purchase all material and hardware
- Attend job site meetings when necessary
- Coordinate manufacturing and delivery schedule
- Coordinate project schedule with material lead time.
- Review shop drawings, confirm details, and send them back to the draftsman for corrections.
- Visit the job site- measure, template, and confirm specifications. Review architects’ drawings and reconfirm job scope to match existing workspace.
- Give field measurements to draftsman to insert into drawings.
- Confirm final shop drawings before sending them out to the shop.
- Confirm field measurements, confirm which pieces get finished first, reconfirm the material and finish, and how will it be installed.
- Coordinate installations
- Track extra work; labor and materials. Communicate billing changes
Salary is in the $145-150k+ range, of course depending on experience, plus my clients offer a solid health insurance benefits package and 401k plan.
