Senior Estimator - Woodworking
Job Description
PAGE Consulting, LLC is representing a well-known Architectural Woodworking company in the Queens/Long Island area, and due to their continued growth, they are looking to hire a qualified Sr. Millwork Estimator.
We are looking for a self-motivated, hard-working, responsible individual who is willing to learn and take the initiative with their job.
The right candidate MUST be able to read architectural drawings accurately and be efficient with basic computer operation.
Responsibilities include:
- Timely and accurate preparation of estimates for potential new projects.
- The Estimator must ensure that the company’s goals for quality, cost, and timeliness are met.
- Review the architectural drawings.
- Identify items that need to be purchased from other companies - metal, stone, glass, etc. Obtain vendor pricing for those items
- Prepare cost estimates for woodwork items utilizing unit prices as well as labor and material breakdowns.
- Communicate with General Contractors to determine project requirements and to obtain information to identify and enhance the company's opportunities to win awards
- Provide estimates to customers that are clear, concise, and within the timeframe requested.
The Job Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in Architectural Woodwork Estimating
- Positive attitude
- Leadership qualities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel
Salary is in the $120-150k+ range, based on the level of experience.
